Triumph Group Relocates to Logistics Park Kansas City

Earlier this week, Triumph Group, Inc. (NYSE:TGI) headquartered in Berwyn, Pa., announced it is relocating its Kansas City-area operations later this year from Grandview, Mo., to a new purpose-built facility at Logistics Park Kansas City (LPKC) in Edgerton, Kan.
Triumph plans to occupy 156,000 square feet of Inland Port XXXI at LPKC under a long-term lease agreement with NorthPoint Development. The relocation to this new facility is expected to begin in September and will be complete by late June 2017.
The Edgerton site was selected based on a number of factors, according to Rick Rosenjack, executive vice president of Triumph’s Precision Components business unit. “The LPKC development was chosen due to strong support from the state of Kansas and the local community in Edgerton, close proximity to an established training facility, exceptional logistics and readily available space for future expansion,” said Rosenjack. “The short distance from Grandview, Mo., to Edgerton, Kan., also allows us to keep most of our experienced employee base intact, which is critical to continuity of production for our valued customers.”
“We value the strong relationship between the Triumph Group and our state and appreciate its continued investment and commitment to growing in Kansas,” said Governor Sam Brownback. “These types of partnerships are key to our success, and we look forward to the launch of this venture and others like it in the future.”
“Limited manufacturing companies like Triumph bring high quality jobs to our community and exemplify the flexibility of LPKC to attract industries beyond warehousing, distribution and internet fulfillment,” said Edgerton Mayor Donald Roberts. “Edgerton’s streamlined development process coupled with NorthPoint Development’s aggressive speculative building program ensures we can quickly meet clients’ critical needs and deliver speed-to-market that cannot be matched in the Kansas City area.”
